What does photography mean to you?

Photography is an exiting adventure to the fantasy world where things looks different from what other people see.

What photographers influenced your work?

Most of my influence comes from fashion photographers like Irving Penn, Elizaveta Parodina, Kirsty Mitchell, Rossella Vanon, Tim Walker to name a few. But I also love photographers like Kelly Brown, Sue Bruce, Susan Stripling and Steve Gerrard who are more family orientated.

What do you want your viewers to take away from your work?

If it’s personal work I did for them I’d like to bring them back to that moment, feel that emotion and live it all over again. If it’s my fashion photography I’d like the viewer to enjoy the beauty from my perspective and hope my work has the ability to escape from everyday problems.

Are there some clichés in photography you steer away from?

I believe in trying things and if it doesn’t feel right, then I just leave it. While shooting I am trying to avoid bad lighting, flash directly in peoples face and shoot only black and white. When retouching I like my photos to look more natural so I’m trying not to use HDR, black and white with colour pop and overdo on skin retouch. I photoshop my clients to fake backgrounds or exotic locations where they haven’t been during the shot, and adding several fake elements that are not meant to be in the photo – however this can all change depending on client requirements.

An enthusiastic budding photographer approaches you, what’s the first bit of advice you throw their way?

Have your own style, before you learn the settings and keep learning more about the light.
