What does photography mean to you?

Photography for me is my opportunity to show the world things in a new light, taking the otherwise ordinary and turning it into something special.

What photographers influenced your work?

Not many, if any. I picked up a camera from a very young age so in a way I got a head start on developing my own style. However I enjoy the works of David La Chappelle and Nick Knight and I can see a lot of familiarities in our work.

What do you want your viewers to take away from your work?

Take what they will, I don’t often do things to mean things, just appreciate the subjects interest, notice the subjects beauty.

Are there some clichés in photography you steer away from?

Things can sure be overdone, but keep things fresh and you will progress. try to create something a little more out of the box.

An enthusiastic budding photographer approaches you, what’s the first bit of advice you throw their way?

Don’t copy, be organic. Do what comes naturally to you.
